CE marking

CE marking is a mandatory requirement for products sold in the European Economic Area (EEA) and has been in place since 1993. It shows that the manufacturer has declared that the product meets the requirements of the applicable EU Directive or Regulations.

From July 1st 2013 it became a legal requirement in the EEA for all fully glazed external windows and doors offered for sale in the United Kingdom to be CE marked.

The CE mark shows that supplied external windows and doors are declared compliant with required performance characteristics, in addition to health, environmental and safety protection requirements of the aforementioned harmonised product standard.

Local Authority Building Control and Trading Standards have made it clear that they will be making sure all new doors and windows carry the CE mark.

Marlin Windows are proud that all of our fully glazed aluminium windows and aluminium doors meet with the required compliance standards of the EU directive and are CE marked accordingly.

When you buy fully glazed aluminium windows and aluminium doors from Marlin Windows you can do so with complete peace of mind in the knowledge that our products are manufactured to the highest possible industry standards.
