The Property:
Contemporary refurbishment, modernisation and extensions to an existing property near to the elegant spa town of Ilkley, West Yorkshire.
The Requirement:
The owners needed a contemporary aluminium window solution that was versatile enough to create shaped feature windows with openers at first floor level.
With matching simple fixed lights and casement windows in other locations throughout the property.
Creating maximum glass areas and ensuring that framework did not detract from spectacular views was a main consideration
Also ensuring excellent thermal and operational performance with a high level of security.
The Solution:
Marlin Windows recommended the adaptable Smart Visoline tilt & turn window system as the ideal overall solution.
This would allow tilt and turn windows to be incorporated into the two main feature window schemes with shaped frames at the front and rear elevations of the property.
Visoline frame profiles were also used for the large square feature window next to the front door and in other locations around the property to ensure a perfect match of contemporary framework throughout.
